March 19, 2014
Siblings Nia and Tiani Wright love to create music. They have been performing since they were 2 and 5 years old. In 2013 they decided to take their music seriously and started their own independent label named The Rowdy Princess Music Group. As the New York eagerly awaits the arrival of new beginnings in the Spring, the Rowdy Princess Music Group will be releasing their anticipated debut EP "No Rules" on April 2.
Nia, 21 is a rap artist, that does most of the songwriting for the team, as well as pen her own lyrics. Tiani, 17 is the lead singer and produces most of the music tracks along with an in-house producer. The 2 single debut will be the first of two EP's to be released this year. Nia states "the songs on the EP are not your typical Hip-Hop tracks that simply puts lyrics to music samples. We combine mutltiple genres of music from Urban contemporary and R&B, to Dance and Hip-Hop. We focus more on songwriting and music than Rap lyrics."
The lead single is an R&B meets Hip-Hop Dance track titled "All Night", which highlights the ladies' production and songwriting talents as well as Nia's infectious rhyme skills. A Summer promotional tour is in the works for the Rowdy Princess Music Group, while Tiani finishes her Junior year in high school in Beacon , New York.
