Mega Ran and K-Murdock Close The Chapter With Forever Famicom DLC 3.
January 9, 2014
BALTIMORE, MD: Hip Hop and Gaming trailblazers Mega Ran and K-Murdock kick off 2014 with the final garnish atop their critically acclaimed album series with "Forever Famicom DLC 3."
The series started way back in 2010, when K, producer of the spacey hip-hop duo Panacea, and Ran, a teacher at the time, collaborated on the full length project, paying homage to the venerable 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and 16-bit Super Nintendo consoles. They've been touring off the record, all over the world, ever since.
"It's pretty unreal in this day and age," Ran says of the album's staying power. "We were really fortunate to catch lightning in a bottle with Forever Famicom, relating to both gamers and hip hop lovers in a special way." Mega Ran was recently named a "rapper most likely to be big in 2014" by LA Weekly, and K agrees. "In 2014 we're capping off this great series in order to move forward. I think everyone will be very excited about our next creations!"
"DLC3" features vocal contributions from up and comers Tribe One, Mister Wilson and Mark Pheonix, and is out now exclusively at bandcamp in digital and CD form.
