Detroit’s Own Sean Knots Signs PR Deal, Puts Down the Drugs and Picks Up the Mic
August 28, 2013
For Immediate Release
Having shared the stage with the likes of Young Buck and Mike Jones, Sean Knots has come a long way. Hailing from what is recognized as the most dangerous zip code in the entire country, the former hustler turned rapper has joined forces with The Bright Agency Group (www.thebrightagencygroup.com) to take his music from popular Midwest mixtapes to national recognition.
“Sean has a great work ethic, and has really got the streets behind him,” states The Bright Agency Group CEO Melissa Broadway. “We look for him to be really well received and know there is nothing he cannot achieve.”
With huge talent such as Big Sean bringing more and more attention to Detroit, Knots has sprung onto the national scene. Early believers at radio such as WJLB 97.9FM have put tracks such as “Work (featuring Doughboyz Cashout)” in rotation for over 6 months, and with demands for his next release at an all-time high, Knots is taking his time to complete his next release. Plans to drop another mixtape in Fall of 2013 are in the works, with an aggressive internet and college campaign launching in September.
Inspirations such as Cassidy, Jay Z and 50 cent have guided Knots out of the streets and into music, but it is the rapper’s own convictions to motivate and inspire others which makes his message resonate with listeners. “I want to motivate people,” he finishes. “I have a lot to say.”
