About: T-Money is an up and coming artist on the Hustle Cartel label, but hip-hop wasn't always his passion. In his youth, he spent more time on the football gridiron than writing rhymes. Once he got into artists like Ca$h Money, Young Jeezy and other rappers on BET, he started freestyling, and ended up collaborating with his brother Ace, CEO of Hustle Cartel. T-Money credits some unique sources for his inspiration, citing everyone from his family and God to Michael Jackson. "T-Money claims that despite his lyrical deftness, there is one message at the core of his music. "Stay in school. I'm young and I'm sayin it because people get attracted to some bad stuff, and it ain't necessary," he says. The Bucktown native explains that while he keeps it real, his music is about showing people there is more to life than the streets. "I came from the gutter, so I rap about my struggles, my everyday life, things I wanna do in the future."
