Born Brandon Jerrod Latham in Georgia to a single mother and brother. A man with no father, still growing into manhood. You can say that Shank B had your typical story of growing up without a father and with a mother who struggled on welfare and addiction. But that would be cliché’ and Shank B is an optimist and a visionary. Using his past and learning from his mistakes, Shank B uses the pain experienced in his life as kinetic energy to fuel his rap poetry.

Creativity is a makeup of his DNA and being born a poet, a rap career wasn’t far behind. Always thinking outside the box, his lyrics make you think about life, living and making it through. His musical influences are full of Rap’s melting pot, with greats like; 2Pac, U.G.K., OutKast, and Too Short. Living his life’s dream, Shank B is a rap poet who is telling it like it is.
