The man behind the music and the Slo Moshion moniker is no other than one of the illest MC that you probably never heard of, Alton Sellars. The Multi-talented artist from Jamaica by way of the Bronx, who's as versatile and edgy as they come.

He's the true meaning of the new breed of independent artists that's infusing the Hip Hop industry. He writes, produce, and perform all of his content from the depths of his heart and soul with various releases to his credit.
In his own words, "Ever since Pac and Big passed, may they rest in peace I've been ahead of the game lyrically and musically.

Yet still I haven't enjoyed the success of some of today's mainstream artists and the reason for that is because they've got the backing of the big money machine".
With that said, he's on top of his game or should I say "on top of the world" with his new release "Electric Dreams" Which I highly recommend with a barrage of insights of what's to come!

Interview by Rob Wright for MyMusicMyLife.com, Nov 18th, 2012

Q: What's the meaning behind the name Slo Moshion?

A: The name Slo Moshion have many different meanings to me, but the most important of them all is that it's a misnomer. Which doesn't means what it actually might suggest or implies. The main thing though is that it's the way I approach things, people and situations. You know, through a keen eye.
Q: What makes you different from other artists out there?

A: I'm different from most artists out there because of my genuine love and respect for the musical art form and our culture. I took my time and spent so many years learning all aspects of my craft. When most artists in Hip Hop right now can't see beyond the money, women and possessions, but there's so much more than that and it would probably take a whole book to get all of my insights and visions across.
Q: How would you describe your musical style?

A: My musical style is very unique and difficult to grasp. I know that this might sound a bit odd, but to understand it one must be in tuned with its elements and have a good amount of knowledge and wisdom of the way life truly is. My style comes from within a sacred place of my heart, soul and spirit.
Q: What are your thoughts on the current state of the music industry?

A: The current state of the music industry could and would be better if it wasn't being controlled by the masses of business minds who doesn't feel and have the genuine and original love for our art form and culture. And on another note, I like a lot of the innovation that's going on. Especially, on the digital side of things.
Q: What are some of your accomplishments in the music industry?

A: I've written and produced close to three hundred songs and I also established my music publishing company through ASCAP "Enscribe Music Publishing" and recently my record label "All-Time Records". My new CD release "Electric Dreams" is my fourth and best project to date, because I always finds a way to top my previous works.
Q: Who would you like to work with in future?

A: I would love to work with artists like Nas and "Jr. Gong" Damian Marley, Lauryn Hill, Pete Rock, Diddy and Dirty Money. Also, my cousin Andrea Lisa Grant who's currently living in England.
Q: Tell me about your current project you are working on.

A: The current project that I'm working on will definitely top "Electric Dreams", because I already have all of the tracks and know the direction that it's heading in. I've already recorded a few of the songs also they're quality works. I also plan on having various features from across various genres, to give it my personal touch with my signature sounds and profound new energy that I think is coming and have been missing in Hip Hop.
Q: What's your career plan for the next 2 years?

A: Within the next two years, I plan on venturing into other business fields and releasing another couple of musical projects while trying to properly establish a reputable place in Hip Hop for both my name and record label.
Q: Tell me something about you that not many people may know?

A: I am a workaholic and a control freak when I'm in the studio. I'm use to writing, producing, performing and mixing all of my own materials. Sometime it's hard to let go of my vision and let someone else control my destiny. You know!
Q: Where can people find out more about Slo Moshion, get your music, and follow your movement?

A: Right now, the best place to find out more about me and my music is on the internet. On sites like Youtube, Facebook, smashsongs, Jango.com which is now known as Radio Airplay and Airplay Direct. The best places to buy my music is through iTunes, Spotify, Google Play Store for digital downloads and my physical CDs are available at CDBaby.com, Amazon.com and host of other stores, ONE LOVE!
