Arizona Based Bilingual Artist/Writer “Cuzino” Signs Major Distribution Deal.


PHOENIX, ARIZONA- Covering another set of milestones in his career, Phoenix based rapper/writer Cuzino recently signed a major distribution deal with INgrooves/Fontana. In March 2012, INgrooves, a San Francisco digital music distribution company, purchased Fontana Distribution from Universal Music Group for an undisclosed sum. Universal continues to own a minority stake in the combined companies.

Having received nationwide recognition for his mastery of the Spanish language via the Dual Language Acquisition Program, Cuzino has transcended well beyond his familial roots in Phoenix, Arizona, Dallas Texas, and Los Angeles, California. With Arizona being in the forefront of the fiery, English only and Arizona’s SB 1070 anti-immigration controversies, Cuzino is living proof that being bilingual or multilingual is an asset which should be embraced and not shunned. “I always knew he would do great things,” says former Dual Language teacher Maria Jimenez Baca.

Cuzino’s first display of his impending global notoriety will be the club banging radio friendly release “Point Her Out” The single will be available on iTunes and every online retailer in November 13, 2012.

“It is important to be who you are. I am a 100% African American Artist who is 100% bilingual,” Cuzino contends. “Sure I’m somewhat of an anomaly, but I have been this way all of my life. When I was 7, people couldn’t believe that a little Black kid could speak Spanish so well. Now that I’m grown, people are amazed that not only did I retain my bilingualism, but I managed to integrate it in my music.”

Cuzino has released several mixtapes in the past. The “H.E.R.” (The Mixtape), hosted by Charlotte, NC 107.9 FM Dj Infamous 704 was released in 2011 with partner long time manager Bobbye Benson CEO of Musicandmischief.com. Cuzino plans on releasing his newest mixtape “Leak This” hosted by Arizona’s Heavy Duty DJ John Blaze this winter 2012. His self-titled, full-length album is set to drop early 2013. In celebration of the distribution deal, blazing debut single “Point Her Out”, Warren Brown Inc. will soon announce a Point Her Out Music Promo Tour, which will kick off in the fall of 2012.
