Dilated Peoples Enter The Studio To Record New Studio Album For 2013 Release

Dilated Peoples are ready to re-emerge and claim their rightful place at the top of the hip-hop scene, as the group has begun recording their first studio album since 2006. The album, currently titled "Directors of Photography", will surface sometime in spring 2013 and is the follow-up to their now classic "20/20" album.

"Dilated Peoples as a group, crew, company, and business is going strong worldwide year round. The wait for a new group album hasn't really seemed that long to us," said Rakaa. "In fact, being in the studio for 'Directors of Photography' feels right on time. Now please leave us the fuck alone so that we can work. Thanks."

The Los Angeles based trio of Rakaa, Evidence and DJ Babu are part of the back-to-basics approach to hip-hop that injects the genre with a much needed dosage of socially conscious lyrics and mind-expanding beats. The group's legendary discography has produced a series of classic hip-hop albums that are hailed as exemplary examples of quality hip-hop by both critics and fans.

Dilated Peoples have announced a very special performance at The Roxy in Hollywood, CA on October 26th, 2012. The band will be performing all the classic Dilated Peoples tracks from their extensive discography, as well as a few special surprises for fans.
