 Universal Indie introduces the first social media collaborative hip hop album. August 27, 2012 Url: http://universalindie.com/rappers-get-on-the-upcoming-the-team-album/ New York, NY - Digital record label, Universal Indie has introduced the first collaborative hip hop utilizing social media for it's upcoming album aptly entitled, The Team. The production chores will be handled in-house by Hoodgrown Productions, every verse and some of the chorus' will be contributed by rappers who have interacted with the label through Twitter, Facebook and blogs to a lesser extent.
Universal Indie will post a new track on it's website each week for download. Artists will complete a verse and send it back in which the label will choose the 3 best verses to complete that song. The pattern will be repeated until 12 songs have been recorded in which the project will then be marketed and distributed by Universal Indie.
