New York, August 16, 2012 -- NY-based vocalist, Benita Charles to perform a soulful set at the legendary, Kenny's Castaways in New York City (west village) on Friday, August 17th at 9 pm.

The show called, "My Influences" will feature songs that has influenced Ms. Charles' musical journey. She will also perform original favorites such as "We Can Make A Difference," a tribute to 9/11 and crowd favorite, "The Freedom Song!" Ms. Charles will be joined on stage by her band, The Benita Charles & Friends Band. Featured artists include Christi Gehrisch (vocals), Harris Punyon (piano, vocals) and Manny Montanez (percussion).
