Chicago, Il…REFORMATORY RECORDS is proud to announce that it has come to an agreement with local rap trio SEVENSIXX and has signed a deal with the trio known for its edgy high energy sound that at times pulls from crossover genre elements including Rap, Hip Hop, Metal and Rock.

SEVENSIXX, is comprised of founding member Charlee ChainGunnz, along with rap artists Die Verse It T, and Ruegar Ryan. The trio submitted their music to Reformatory Records in December of 2011 and the label immediately recognized the material as catchy, innovative and trendsetting.

“I’m pretty stoked to be working with Reformatory Records. I know SEVENSIXX will bring a lot to the table being a unique hip rock group that is not comparable to the genres you hear in the media these days. Like us, I know Mikes a very hard worker and enjoys what he does as well as the other artists and groups on Reformatory so I can see SEVENSIXX and Reformatory Records taking off very quickly.” said SEVENSIXX member DIE VERSE IT T about this weekends signing.

The groups founder Charlee Chain Gunnz who also founded the Otherside Recordz movement in the Greater Chicagoland area has been known for booking shows in the Midwest as a talent buyer and has been largely responsible for giving some larger Midwest and national acts a performance date here in the greater Chicagoland area and its suburbs. Some of these shows have included such acts as Twista, Vanilla Ice, Afroman, Crucial Conflict, Shawna, Do Or Die, RIO DEZONERO, Lil Scrappy, Lebowski(Tech 9), Mil Tickit, Track Kingz, Speedknot Mob, Bo-Deal, and Jack Frost.
SevenSixx has performed with all the above named acts but has also opened up for T.I., Lil Wayne, Freeway, Camron, Jim Jones, Wicked Martin, and Fat Joe.
Several recordings have been made towards a full length album which will be available this Fall on Reformatory Records
