Leo the Lion attempts 24 Gigs in 24 Hours

Leo the Lion (formerly of The Streets) will be performing an amazing 24 live shows from 8pm on July 11th through til 8pm on the 12th July across a diverse and bizarre selection of London venues. Fans will be able to watch the whole event in real time via brand new celebrity app Sprkle.com and by donating to The Prince’s Trust charity they will also have access to some very special content from Leo’s celebrity chums as well as behind the scenes footage.

Leo gives us the low down below:

-Tell us about what you are doing and why?
Leo: I will be performing 24 gigs in 24 hours across London city on the 11the July to the 12th July. Raising money for The Princes Youth Trust. Some people say the world ends this year so I figured why spend all summer touring when I could cram it all in a day…which leaves me enough time get married, divorced and then go to Shanghai to try and see if I can blag a footballing contract for £1m per week.. The cool thing about these gigs is that they will be in random locations… such as The London Eye, a prison cell, a shop window, London Dungeon…it’s a bit of fun, which I like very much…lol

- How can your fans get involved? Are fans able to come to all the gigs?
Leo: Well, people can go on my Facebook page; www.facebook.com/iAmLeoTheLion to find out where I’ll be performing and at what time etc.. Or follow me on Twitter @IamLeotheLion
Then they can come down to one of the 24 gigs or all of them if they want… I will need the company and we have treats and refreshments for them along the way…

- Will you be playing the same set at each show?
Leo: No, I won't be playing the same set.I think if I sing the same set 24 times I deserve to be strangled… in fact if someone doesn't do it… I will do it myself… I will be singing some original tracks and some covers… I have actually got a theme tune for this event… it’s called "Only For One Night” you will be able to download it on iTunes.

- How are you planning to stay awake?
Leo: I have no idea, I may sellotape my eye lids to my forehead…or I may hire someone to slap me across the face before each gig… A professional slapper.
When I say slapper I don't mean that in a "loose" way. However, my options are still open…it will be a long night…
I have bought these cool shades that have eyes printed on the lenses so people think you’re wide awake but really you’re sleeping… I will get the band to play along with the snoring (foolproof).

- Tell us about Sprkle.com and what's the involvement with your gigs?
Leo: Sprkle is a new self-filming celebrity app, (think video twitter) they have kindly agreed to stream the event online for me. So people can track me 24 hours to see where I will be and watch exclusively performances during the day on the sprkle website www.sprkle.com

- How do fans donate to the Prince's Trust?

- Who is in your band?
Leo: Well I have 2 bands, the 1st band one consists of 2 guys Matt (Guitarist) Jamie (Box Drummer) they will be doing the majority of the 24 gigs…
