These guys have several videos which are good quality for an indie group without a deal yet. Keep your eyes open on this movement coming out of Texas. The Social Circle will be hitting your town soon..
Q. So tell me, where are you guys from?
A. We all live in Beaumont, TX
Q. Who makes up the Social Circle?
A. We have three main artists....Richy Ridiculous, John Joseph and Ro-Ward. We also have a Singer by the name of Aldrian, a cameraman name Xavier Blueford and another aspiring artist who goes by the name Grandiose.
Q. How did you guys get together?
A. We all grew up together, except for Aldrian, who was brought to the team last year when he met John Joseph.
Q. What’s the music scene like where you are from?
A. The music scene where we from died before it was born...Almost every artist from our city, with the exception of a few, is a complete rip-off of either the Houston scene of 1998, or the current Dallas Swag Movement...Even though there are a select few groups who are good, the only radio station that plays Hip-Hop music in Southeast Texas is MAGIC 102.5. It’s run by a woman named Adrian Scott and she basically holds the “Key” to any artist being heard locally. She refuses to play any good music from the area. It's believed by almost all listeners in our town that no artist will ever be known well in our city because of the biased opposition of the local radio station. But we at The Social Circle will continue to make good music anyway.
Q. How would you describe your style?
A. The best word to describe our style would be..... “INDESCRIBABLE” ....None of our styles are the same so when you listen to our music you hear a variety of different styles and genres of music. We are the type of artists that like to experiment with new sounds as much as possible.
Q. What do you feel will make you stand out from the 1,000's of other artists out there?
A. The simple fact that we are serious. We take great pride in the production of anything with the Social Circle name on it. So no one can tell us We Will Fail. We are the Best. Period!!!
Q. What have you done in the music business so far?
A. We've landed deals with clothing lines, we have worked with big name artists such as Jack Freeman of AMG, PKT, and Killa Kyleon, who you probably know best from his feature on Wiz Khalifa's Kush & OJ Mixtape.
Q. What are you currently working on?
A. Richy Ridiculous is currently working on Part Broken Microphones 3, John Joseph is working on an EP called Ever Forever, Ro-Ward is working on his debut solo mixtape called The Mouthpiece of the South East. John Joseph, Ro-Ward, and Grandiose have a separate group
called the Archetypes. They have several albums completed...All together we have about 500 hundred songs already recorded and ready to be released. We also have a YouTube series called TSCTV which is short for The Social Circle Television. On the show, we don’t focus too much on the Music, but more on our everyday routines.
Q. Where do you see your movement going in the next year or two?
A. In the future, I see our group as an Icon for aspiring artists to strive to be… Our vision is for the road we travel to be like a layout of how this life is supposed to be lived.
Q. Why should people check out the Social Circle?
A. Because we're good. We're not bad at this Rapping like most of the top people in the game are. Lyricism is not dead and we are out to prove that to everyone who looks at our city “As a Waste of Time”.
Q. What message do you want to get across to the industry and music fans reading this interview?
A. WE ARE THE SOCIAL CIRCLE....I want people to be familiar with us. We only want to connect with a Die Hard Fan base of Real Musical Enthusiasts, that realize “Good Music Can Be Found in The Most Unexpected Places”...We just want them to listen.
Q. How can people follow your movement and get more information?
A. Our website www.WeAreTheSocialCircle.com ... It has everything from Music to Release Dates to News to the Videos etc...It’s everything. The Social Circle All In One Place....
Follow them on Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. Links are on their website.
