True story telling, meaningful lyrics and entertainment - these are the key ingredients that make for the flavor in Ghost Blacks' tracks. With his words, his beats and his sweetheart singer Sandy Star, he is not only looking to entertain his audience, but to inform them too: "Life is too short and precious!". That's what his new single "Oh My Goodness" is all about, the joys of clubbing, dancing, flirting and having a good time with the ladies, life is too short to waste it on being too serious ! This song spurs on the summer vibes and makes you want to fish out your dancing shoes because, as one fan has already stated: "This is definitely a club banger!". And sure enough, with summer just around the corner, this song literally invites you to day dream about longs nights in the club with "girls looking hot, like a bag of m&m's, with so many flavors, you'll want all of them"!
"Oh My Goodness" is the perfect follow up to his previous single, "Hip Hop Forever", a slow paced, heartfelt tribute to Hip Hop with Sandy Star's vocals giving the song what almost seems like a haze of spirituality, a way of life. The track made it to Nr. 1 on Reverbnations R'n'B genre and there has been nothing but love coming from their fans, "the response was fantastic, all positive vibes".
Sandy Star and Ghost Black went to high school together and grew up in the same neighborhood.
"From the moment I heard her sing, I loved her voice. She loved my writing so she asked me if I could write a song. It was an honor for me and the rest is history. It was meant to be, we've been together ever since." Sandy started singing at her church at a young age, a talent her musical parents always encouraged, and is planning a full album project with Ghost Black in the near future. Together they know how to make a crowd go crazy, their energy is contagious.
Ghost Black is striving for big things in the future. As a Ghostwriter he has already tapped into a great variety of genres and does not shy away from a new challenge. "Expanding is a great thing, bring it on."
He is influenced by artists like India Arie, Eminem and Ice Cube. "These are artists I'd like to work with because they know how to bring a record to life, they add great melodies to their music which gives a song that everlasting staying power." For the moment Ghost Black will focus on "Oh My Goodness" and further writing gigs but we can expect new melodies to blossom from his expert ear shortly, there ain't no stopping him now.
