“In The SweetBox” is a new online TV series, an extension of DJ Princess Cut’s SweetBox TV, and it is strategically catered to promoting the arts and each episode will feature appearances from independent artists as well as celebrity guests, DJs and more.
As Big K.R.I.T. prepares for the release of his major label debut “Live From The Underground” and a nationwide tour, the Mississippi native recently sat down with DJ Princess Cut (aka SweetBox Jones) for an up close and intimate interview. The interview covers everything from K.R.I.T.’s influences and his rise from the underground to him becoming one of the premier rappers and most sought out producers in the game today.
K.R.I.T.’s highly anticipated album “Live From The Underground” will be available in stores and online on June 5th and the project features high profile appearances from Ludacris, Melanie Fiona, 2Chainz, Bun B, Big Sant, 8Ball & MJG, Devin The Dude, Anthony Hamilton, Ms. Linnie and B.B. King. “I Got This” is the lead single from K.R.I.T.’s forthcoming album and it is currently heating up airwaves on both rhythmic and urban formats while receiving major DJ support and heavy club play. With the second quarter of 2012 nearing its end, DJ Princess Cut is showing no signs of slowing down in her pursuit to bring her future dreams into her present day reality. While successfully operating in what’s considered to be a male dominated industry, her talent and impeccable work ethic has become synonymous with her brand. Earlier this year she was the only female to participate in Smirnoff Ice’s/BET’s Master of the Mix Competition in Atlanta. After performing an amazing DJ set, she received high praises from the likes of Kid Capri, Amber Rose, Just Blaze and others. She also rocked the Picasso to Warhol Art Exhibit finale party in Atlanta at the High Museum of Art.
